Prince Georg Friedrich expressed his heartfelt thanks yet again for the invitation and the very warm welcome he received at the Schwyzertag in Tiengen. It was a particular honour to be signed into the town\u2019s Golden Book.<\/p>\n
The Schwyzertag originates from the year 1415, when Tiengen was saved from capture and destruction. Since then, this memory has been kept alive as part of a tradition dating back over 600 years. A historical coincidence: this year also marks the actual beginning of Brandenburg-Prussian history.<\/p>\n
In his address, Prince Georg Friedrich emphasised that remembrance can foster a sense of responsibility, and that one\u2019s homeland remains open, humane and unifying when people live out their traditions together.<\/p>\n
