Sophie The Princess of Prussia

 
 
Princess Sophie, née Princess of Isenburg, was born March 7th 1978 as the youngest daughter of Prince Franz Alexander (b. 1943) and Princess Christine of Isenburg (b. 1941, née Countess of Saurma-Jeltsch) in Frankfurt on the Main. Amidst her large family she passed an untroubled childhood in Birstein/Hesse. Her siblings are Hereditary Prince Alexander of Isenburg (b. 1969), Archduchess Katharina of Österreich-Este (b. 1971), Princess Isabelle of Wied (b. 1973) and Prince Viktor of Isenburg (b. 1979).

After having attended the primary school in Birstein and St. Mary’s school in Fulda she went to the boarding school Kloster Wald where she passed her A-Levels and a trade test as dressmaker. Then she studied business administration at the Albert-Ludwig-University in Freiburg/Breisgau and the Humboldt University in Berlin. Various internships led her to the Deutsche Bundestag, London, Hongkong and Shanghai.

From 2006 on she worked as a key account manager at an affiliated company of the publishing house Bertelsmann, since 2010 she is project manager at an independent counselling service  for non-profit organizations in Berlin.

In private she is interested in reading, sports (swimming, skiing, tennis, jogging) and travelling, the latter has already led her to large parts of Europe as well as Asia and South America.

Her wedding to The Prince of Prussia took place on August 27 2011 at the Friedenskirche in Potsdam.
